Before you run them

What Claude will and won't do on its own, so nothing surprises you.

A vague brief comes back as a question, not people.

When the brief is too thin to search well, you get a question with options instead, at 0 credits. Answer it and the same search carries on.

Look before you search again.

"What did you find for this role?" and "Re-open last week's search" are free. A new search costs 1 credit per person shown, deeper pages too.

Profiles come without contact details.

An email is 4 credits, a phone number 12 (phones from the Pro plan). Nothing is charged when nothing is found, and nobody is charged twice.

Outreach is a sequence, not one email.

Follow-ups go out on a schedule and stop when the person replies. A positive reply is read and the person is added to the role. Outreach needs the Pro plan.

An interview needs dates and scoring criteria on the role.

Without dates the invite is refused with a link to add them. Without criteria the score comes back as "manual review", and Claude should say so before you act on it.

Sending to your ATS needs a connected ATS.

It is on the $499 plans and above. People already in the ATS get the application added, not a duplicate.

  3. Click Connect, sign in, and approve on the "Connect to The Cognitive" page. Disconnect any time from Claude.
  4. Ask: "Where do things stand across all my roles?" If you get your pipeline back, you're in.
