JazzHR Pricing 2026: Plans, Costs and What Buyers Pay

The Cognitive homepage

JazzHR publishes its prices, and there are three plans. On yearly billing, Hero costs $1,000 a year, Plus $3,480 a year and Pro $5,508 a year. On monthly billing, Plus is $350 a month and Pro $549 a month, and JazzHR's comparison table lists Hero at $110 a month.

Every plan includes unlimited users. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card and no free plan.

Two things change what you actually pay. Standard pricing does not apply to staffing and recruiting agencies, franchises, multi-location businesses or companies with more than 250 employees, so those buyers get a quote instead. And some features sit outside the plan price, such as Candidate Texting from $39 a month.

How much does JazzHR cost in 2026?

JazzHR sells one flat price per plan, not a price per user. A team of two and a team of twenty pay the same for the same plan, because every plan comes with unlimited users. JazzHR's free trial page says: "No per-seat fees, ever."

JazzHR plans. Prices from JazzHR's pricing page, October 2026.
PlanYearlyMonthlyBest for
Hero$1,000 a year (about $83 a month)$110 a month (see note)1 to 3 roles at a time
Plus (most popular)$3,480 a year ($290 a month)$350 a monthGrowing teams hiring every month
Pro$5,508 a year ($459 a month)$549 a monthTeams that send offers and report to leadership

A note on Hero. When you switch the pricing page to Monthly, the Hero card disappears and only Plus and Pro can be bought on monthly terms. The comparison grid still lists Hero at $110 a month. In practice, Hero is sold yearly at $1,000 online. If you want Hero on monthly terms, ask JazzHR whether the $110 rate is available.

JazzHR belongs to Employ Inc., the company behind Lever and Jobvite. In Employ's product menu, JazzHR is the "Foundational Hiring" option, and its homepage headline reads "The Best ATS for Small Businesses". For how this compares with the rest of the market, our guide to applicant tracking system pricing covers the common models.

How much does JazzHR cost per month?

JazzHR costs $83 to $549 a month, depending on the plan and how you pay. Yearly billing is cheaper on every plan. The pricing page advertises "Save up to 24% by paying yearly", but that top figure applies to Hero only. On Plus and Pro the saving is smaller.

JazzHR yearly billing compared with 12 months of monthly billing, using prices from JazzHR's pricing page, October 2026.
PlanPaid yearly12 months paid monthlyYearly saving
Hero$1,000$1,320$320 (about 24%)
Plus$3,480$4,200$720 (about 17%)
Pro$5,508$6,588$1,080 (about 16%)

Monthly billing still has a place. JazzHR's FAQ says it will do month-to-month contracts, which suits a business that hires in bursts. If you hire through most of the year, the yearly plan wins. On Plus, ten months of monthly billing ($3,500) already costs more than a full year paid upfront.

The flat price changes the cost per user. On Plus, a hiring team of five works out to $696 per person per year. Add five more hiring managers and that halves, with no change to the bill.

Cost per hire falls the same way. At 12 hires a year, Plus on yearly billing works out to $290 per hire. At 40 hires, it is $87.

What does each JazzHR plan include?

The plan cards show five headline features each. The comparison grid on the same page goes further, and it shows where the real gap between Hero and Plus sits.

Hero is an applicant tracker for a business with a few roles open at a time. Job postings start at 3 a month. You can post, collect applicants, parse resumes and move people through stages. There are no knockout questions, no bulk actions and no calendar sync.

Plus costs $2,480 a year more than Hero on yearly billing, or $240 a month more on monthly billing. For that you get up to 200 active jobs and the tools that cut screening time: knockout questions, bulk actions, interview guides and evaluation templates. Plus also adds AI-powered candidate matching, which JazzHR's homepage describes as "AI-powered fit recommendations" that surface the strongest candidates. JazzHR's FAQ says Plus and Pro carry no extra cost per job posting.

Pro costs $2,028 a year more than Plus on yearly billing, or $199 a month more on monthly billing. It adds offers with eSignatures, advanced visual reporting, a custom reports builder, workflow reports and all-access support. Pay it if you send offers from the ATS and report hiring numbers to leadership. If you need only one of those, the Plus add-on may cost less, but it needs a quote.

What does JazzHR charge on top of the plan price?

JazzHR's FAQ says there are "no termination fees or other hidden costs." That holds for the subscription itself. Several things are still billed separately or depend on who you are.

Candidate Texting

Texting is the one add-on with a published price. You can add it to Hero, Plus or Pro, and it is billed by candidate conversations each month. Every tier includes one dedicated company phone number.

Candidate conversations a monthPrice a month
50$39
125$69
250$99
500$149
1,000$249

On the 250 tier and above, extra dedicated numbers cost $20 a month each. On the 1,000 tier, another 200 conversations can be added for $59 a month. For a small team on Hero, the 250 tier ($1,188 a year) costs more than the plan itself.

Plus add-ons with no published price

The comparison grid marks advanced visual reporting and offers with eSignatures as add-ons on Plus. JazzHR does not list a price for either. Ask for both in writing, then compare the total with moving to Pro.

Usage-based charges

JazzHR bills some add-ons by how much you use them. Its FAQ says "features like text messaging or email sends may incur additional charges depending on the volume of usage." Overages are billed at published rates. JazzHR says it notifies you as usage nears a limit, and usage can be tracked in the billing or feature settings tabs.

Job postings and premium listings

Posting to more than a dozen free job boards is included on every plan. Premium listings and syndication to paid boards cost extra, and JazzHR does not publish those prices. Posting availability also depends on eligibility rules and on job board partners' own limits.

Data migration

JazzHR says migration from your current ATS "is included in select plans", without naming which ones. If you are moving years of candidate records, get the answer before you sign.

Who does not get the standard price

JazzHR's standard pricing "does not apply to staffing or recruiting agencies, HR service providers, franchises, multi-location businesses, organizations with over 250 employees", or other organizations at its discretion. If you fall into any of those groups, the prices above are not your prices. Expect a sales conversation and a quote.

Why do JazzHR prices differ from site to site?

JazzHR changed its prices and its pricing page several times between mid-2025 and mid-2026. Guides written at different points quote different figures. Archived copies of JazzHR's pricing page show the sequence.

JazzHR list prices over time, from archived copies of JazzHR's pricing page and the live page in October 2026.
Date of the archived pageWhat JazzHR's pricing page showed
16 July 2025Paid annually: Hero $75 a month with 3 active jobs and extra jobs at $9 per job per month; Plus $269 a month with 200 active jobs
23 January 2026Paid annually: Hero $110 a month, still with $9 per extra job; Plus $350 a month; Pro priced by quote
16 March 2026A new layout with yearly prices: Hero $1,000 a year, Plus $3,480 a year; Pro still "Contact sales"
12 May 2026Pro priced on the page at $5,508 a year; monthly prices $110, $350 and $549
October 2026 (live)Same as May 2026

If a guide says Hero costs $75 a month, it is showing 2025 prices. A $9 fee per extra job is also gone from the live page, which now says Hero's job postings start at 3 a month.

Some trackers also mix billing terms. CostBench (July 2026), for example, logged the top tier as falling from $499 to $459 a month in mid-2026. But $459 is Pro's yearly price spread over twelve months, and in March 2026 JazzHR's own page showed no Pro price at all. PricingSaaS (July 2026) lists today's yearly prices as monthly equivalents of $83.33, $290 and $459.

Does JazzHR have a free trial, and how can you pay less?

JazzHR offers a 14-day free trial with unlimited users and no credit card. Its trial page says you can "explore every core feature." There is no free plan, so after 14 days you choose a paid plan or leave. The pricing page itself does not mention the trial; its buttons say "Get started" and "Request Demo".

Use the 14 days on one real role. Post it, collect applicants, try the knockout questions on Plus, and invite every hiring manager who will use the system. Users are unlimited, so the trial shows whether your team will actually log in.

There are four ways to pay less:

  1. Pay yearly. It saves $320 on Hero, $720 on Plus and $1,080 on Pro against twelve months of monthly billing.
  2. Lock in a multi-year price. JazzHR's FAQ says multi-year contracts lock your price for longer. Given how often its prices moved in 2026, that has value if you are sure of the fit.
  3. Ask for the non-profit discount. JazzHR offers non-profits 10% off through its Solutions Consultants.
  4. Price Pro against Plus with add-ons. If you need only offers or only advanced reporting, get the add-on quote and compare it with the $2,028 gap to Pro.

JazzHR says you can upgrade at any time, with no termination fees. Starting on Plus and moving up later is a sensible default, but ask how downgrades work before you upgrade mid-contract.

If you are also weighing a tool built for bigger hiring teams, our Greenhouse pricing guide is a useful contrast.

Is JazzHR worth it?

JazzHR is worth it for a small business that hires through job posts, wants every hiring manager in the system and does not want a price per seat. For that buyer, Plus at $3,480 a year is hard to beat on cost per user, and a flat price is easy to budget.

It is a weaker fit in three cases:

On real contract values, CostBench reports a median of about $10,000 a year ($10,020) across 13 buyer-reported JazzHR contracts, which it attributes to Vendr deal flow (July 2026). Treat that as a rough signal from a small sample, not a list price. For small teams comparing JazzHR with other options, our guide to hiring software for small business covers the wider field.

What are cheaper or different options to JazzHR?

Four of these replace JazzHR. The first works alongside it. (The Cognitive is our product.) Our JazzHR alternatives guide reviews ten options in depth.

1. The Cognitive: best for finding candidates who never applied

The Cognitive is not an applicant tracking system. It handles the step before your ATS: finding people and screening them. Type the role as one sentence and it searches about 900M public profiles. Each result carries a "Why this match" line, one or two reasons taken from that person's profile.

From there you email shortlisted people from your own Gmail or Outlook mailbox. Those who reply get a link to a live two-way AI video interview, with an AI interviewer on screen and the candidate on camera. The interviewer asks about the role and digs into each answer. You get the recording and a report scored against your criteria.

The Cognitive syncs with 100+ ATS, JazzHR among them. Through the JazzHR integration, you pick a JazzHR stage, interview the candidates in it, and the score and report link land back on each JazzHR profile as a note.

Pricing model: AI Sourcing and AI Interviews are separate plans, each from $99 a month, billed monthly or yearly. Details are on our pricing page. The free trial runs 7 days and needs no card.

Watch out for: it does not post jobs, take applications or send offers, so it sits next to JazzHR rather than replacing it. Email outreach comes with Sourcing Pro and above, and ATS sync, JazzHR included, needs a higher plan. Interviews run in a laptop or desktop browser, not on phones.

2. Breezy HR: best for a free plan to start

Breezy HR is an applicant tracking system. Pricing model: a free forever plan, then paid tiers with a full-feature 14-day trial and no card. Annual billing includes two months free.

3. Zoho Recruit: best for teams already on Zoho

Zoho Recruit is an ATS from the Zoho suite. Pricing model: a forever free edition, then paid tiers priced per recruiter, billed monthly or yearly, with a 15-day free trial. Add-ons are not supported on the free edition.

4. Workable: best for a published plan with AI credits included

Workable is an ATS with job posting and built-in AI tools. Pricing model: published plans, a 15-day free trial with no credit card, and 3,000 free AI credits on every paid account.

5. Manatal: best for a small team that prefers per-user pricing

Manatal is an ATS with job and candidate management. Pricing model: per user per month, billed annually, with a set number of jobs included and a 14-day free trial. That is the opposite of JazzHR's flat price: cheaper for a small team, dearer as the team grows.

If your hiring runs on job posts, start with JazzHR's 14-day trial and price the add-ons you will really use. If the people you want are not reading job boards, create a free account on The Cognitive. Search for one open role, email the best matches and interview whoever writes back.
