ZoomInfo Alternatives for Recruiters in 2026: 10 Contact and Sourcing Tools
By Sparsh Goyal, Founder at The Cognitive. Published · Last updated
- Top picks: The Cognitive for sourcing plus a live AI interview, SeekOut to search your ATS too, hireEZ for a full pipeline, Juicebox for prompt search, ContactOut for personal emails.
- The Cognitive is the only tool here that finds people outside your database and runs a live, two-way AI video interview with them, in an account you can open without a sales call, at a published price.
- Pick SignalHire or RocketReach if you only need contacts paid on success, Lusha for compliance certifications, Apollo for a free plan, Kaspr for European data.
- I run The Cognitive. The other 9 are judged from their own websites, read on 3 October 2026.
Of the ZoomInfo alternatives for recruiters in 2026, the best is The Cognitive. It finds candidates across ~900M public profiles, charges for a contact reveal only when an email or phone number comes back, runs on a monthly plan you can cancel, and then interviews the people you pick, live, with AI. ZoomInfo shows no paid price on its website, and its licence terms say the agreement "is not cancellable".
Sourcing works, so contact data matters. In Gem's 2026 recruiting benchmarks, direct sourcing produced 11% of hires from 2.6% of applications, and sourced candidates were "nearly eight times more likely to be hired than inbound applicants". What differs between tools is how you pay for the data and how long you're tied in.
The best ZoomInfo alternatives for recruiters in 2026
- The Cognitive: best overall, because it finds people outside your database, charges for contacts only when a value comes back, and interviews the people you pick.
- SeekOut: best if you want one search across 1B+ profiles and your own ATS.
- hireEZ: best for enterprise teams that want sourcing, screening and scheduling on top of their ATS.
- Juicebox: best for prompt-based search with contact credits on a monthly seat.
- ContactOut: best for personal emails and mobile numbers while you work in LinkedIn.
- SignalHire: best if you want to pay only when a contact comes back, with no seat fee.
- RocketReach: best for agencies on Bullhorn that want personal emails on every paid seat.
- Lusha: best if published compliance certifications decide the purchase.
- Apollo: best free plan with email sequences, if sales-shaped filters don't bother you.
- Kaspr: best for European contact data pulled from LinkedIn.
Full disclosure: I run The Cognitive. I put it first on one test you can check: it's the only tool on this list that finds people outside your database and runs a live, two-way AI video interview with them, in an account you can open without a sales call, at a published price. After #1, the order is my judgment of how much of a ZoomInfo recruiting workflow each tool replaces and whether you can start without talking to sales. I have not used the other 9 on a paid account. What I say about them comes from their own websites, read on 3 October 2026.
Why do recruiters look for ZoomInfo alternatives?
ZoomInfo has a lot of data. Its About page lists 500M contacts, 135M+ verified phone numbers and 200M+ verified business emails. The reasons recruiters leave sit in its own terms and pricing page, read on 3 October 2026:
- You can't cancel mid-term. ZoomInfo's licence terms set the term in your order form and state that "The Agreement is not cancellable and shall remain in effect until it expires". A hiring freeze in month 3 doesn't end the bill.
- Seats belong to named employees. Each user must be "an employee of Licensee". A contract sourcer needs ZoomInfo's prior permission.
- Agencies should read one clause twice. The terms say the licensee "shall not access or use the Licensed Materials for the benefit of or on behalf of any person or entity except Licensee". If you source for clients, get ZoomInfo's answer on that in writing before you sign.
- No paid price on the website. The pricing page offers a "Get Pricing" form. Its FAQ says the price depends on features, the number of licences and credit usage.
- It's built for sales first. The About page names sales, customer success, marketing and RevOps teams "at B2B companies with 100+ employees" as its users. Recruiting gets one line further down, in its FAQ.
What happened to ZoomInfo TalentOS?
The name TalentOS appears on none of the ZoomInfo pages I read on 3 October 2026, and zoominfo.com/products/talentos returns a 404. ZoomInfo now sells its recruiting product as ZoomInfo Talent. Its recruiting page centres on an AI agent called Talent Autopilot, which "evaluates candidates against what you asked for" and explains the reasoning behind every match. Manual search with Boolean and filters is still there. I found no ZoomInfo announcement of a rename, so I can't date the change.
Is ZoomInfo worth it for recruiting?
It's worth it if your company already pays for ZoomInfo in sales and can add Talent to that contract. You get its contact data, alerts on layoffs and leadership moves, and an ATS link to Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS, Lever and others.
For a standalone recruiting team it's a harder case. You'd sign a term you can't cancel, and you'd still need a separate step to screen people. ZoomInfo Talent stops at outreach, and none of its pages I read mention an interview.
How do the top ZoomInfo alternatives compare?
Here is how they stack up. I filled in every cell from the vendor's own site on 3 October 2026:

How did we rank these ZoomInfo alternatives?
I considered 9 tools recruiters name when they price ZoomInfo, plus The Cognitive. Each had to sell to recruiters on its own website and return emails or phone numbers. I judged each on 5 criteria: finding people outside your database, how a contact is charged, whether you can leave month to month, a price on the website, and an interview with the people it finds.
Only The Cognitive meets all 5. SeekOut's AI video screener covers inbound applicants on tiers sold through a demo, and hireEZ screens by voice or chat. The other 7 show no interview on any page I read. I couldn't test data accuracy on paid accounts, so accuracy figures are each vendor's own claim.
How does ZoomInfo pricing work for a recruiting team?
ZoomInfo pricing is by quote, and its pricing page names 3 inputs: features and functionality, number of licences and credit usage. "Each export costs one credit", from the platform, the Chrome extension or an integration, and packages come with a set number of monthly credits. The page lists a Talent package but shows no figure for it. Our ZoomInfo pricing guide breaks down how those quotes are built.
On billing, ZoomInfo says its "sales team will work with you on payment frequency and options". Its About page says ZoomInfo "has a permanent free plan that requires no credit card". The free trial page says it "typically offers a 7-day free trial" once you verify a business email, and doesn't mention Talent. Our ZoomInfo pricing guide covers how quotes are built and what to ask.
What are ZoomInfo's contract terms?
The term length is whatever your order form says, and the licence terms make it non-cancellable. If ZoomInfo ends the agreement over a breach you don't fix, the fees for the rest of the term become due at once. Adding users beyond your count can be treated as buying more seats. Check the order form for renewal and notice dates.
How do you choose a ZoomInfo alternative for recruiting?
What's the cheapest way to replace ZoomInfo for a 2 to 5 person recruiting team?
Start free and pay for what you use. Apollo's free plan "stays free with no time limit", Lusha's gives 40 credits a month, and Kaspr, SignalHire, RocketReach, ContactOut and Juicebox have free tiers or lookups. Those give you contacts for people you've already found. The Cognitive also does the finding and the first interview, on monthly plans. There's a free trial with 100 sourcing credits.
Can you pay per reveal instead of signing a seat contract?
Yes, with 3 tools on this list. SignalHire subtracts a credit only "if at least 1 email address or phone number is returned" and doesn't charge per seat. RocketReach refunds a lookup when it can't verify an email or phone, though you still pay for the seat. The Cognitive charges 1 credit per candidate a search returns, 5 to reveal an email and 10 to reveal a phone number, and you're charged for a reveal only when a value comes back.
Which tool has the most accurate phone numbers for recruiters?
No vendor here publishes an independent test, so every rate is the vendor's own. Lusha reports a July 2026 test of 322 US contacts in which mobile phone returned a usable value for 97.5%. SignalHire claims "95%+ email accuracy". ZoomInfo's licence terms carry a remedy instead of a rate: if more than 5% of your licensed contacts no longer work at the listed company and you notify it, ZoomInfo has 30 days to get back to 95%, or you can end the agreement with a prorated refund. Our list of contact finder tools for recruiters compares what each vendor claims.
Do you need personal emails or work emails?
Recruiters usually want personal emails, which candidates read away from work. ZoomInfo's pages talk about business emails and mobile or direct numbers. SignalHire, ContactOut, RocketReach and Juicebox name personal emails outright.
Do you need your ATS searched too?
Gem's benchmarks found that 46% of sourced hires now come from candidates already in a company's CRM or ATS. If your ATS holds years of applicants, SeekOut and hireEZ search it; our guide to candidate rediscovery shows how to work that pool. The Cognitive doesn't search your ATS history, so pair it with one of them if that pool matters most.
The 10 best ZoomInfo alternatives for recruiters, reviewed
1. The Cognitive: best overall, because it finds people outside your database, charges for contacts only when a value comes back, and interviews the people you pick
The Cognitive is AI recruiting software that sources candidates across ~900M public profiles and interviews them live with AI. Where ZoomInfo sells seats and a credit pool, it charges for what a search returns and for each contact that comes back. It isn't an ATS, and it has no Chrome extension or LinkedIn InMail.
It reads a plain-English brief into filters you can edit. When we typed "Senior backend engineer with 5+ years of Go who has built payments systems, Remote EU", it read "Remote EU" as Germany plus 7 other countries. Every person found is judged against your must-haves, and anyone who misses one drops below the people who meet them. Each card opens with a "Why this match" line traced to the profile, such as "Go listed in skills". There's no fit score. Everyone found stays with the role, so later searches skip people you've already seen.
You reveal verified emails and phone numbers, enriched from 30+ sources. On the Sourcing Pro plan you can send email and SMS sequences from platform mailboxes.
Then, unlike ZoomInfo, you invite the people you shortlist to a live, two-way AI video interview of 10 or 20 minutes, in any of 9 languages. The invitation tells candidates the interview is run by AI, and they book their own slot without an account. The rubric is fixed for the role and the questions adapt to each answer. You get a 1 to 5 score per criterion, a weighted score out of 100, a suggested verdict, the transcript and the recording. Nothing is rejected automatically.
The 5-minute recording above is a live AI interview for a go-to-market role. The AI asks the candidate about an outbound email campaign, then follows up on reply rates and on how leads were qualified. More on the AI interviewer page.
Pick it if you want sourcing, contact data and the first interview without a seat contract. AI Sourcing starts at $49/month and AI Interview at $99/month, on monthly plans you can cancel anytime. More on our AI sourcing page.

2. SeekOut: best if you want one search across 1B+ profiles and your own ATS
SeekOut searches "1B+ profiles across external sources and your ATS" and claims "44% of great hires already exist in your ATS". Its AI screener "conducts video interviews with candidates" who apply.
The self-serve Recruit Core plan shows a price, includes 500 contact credits a month and has a free trial with "No contract commitment". ATS search and AI screening sit on annual tiers sold through a demo.
Pick it if your ATS is a talent pool worth searching and you can buy annual seats. More in our SeekOut review and SeekOut alternatives list.
3. hireEZ: best for enterprise teams that want sourcing, screening and scheduling on top of their ATS
hireEZ describes itself as "The system of action on top of your ATS". It searches "1B+ candidate profiles across 45+ channels", runs "Email, SMS, and InMail engagement", screens candidates by "voice or chat" and schedules interviews.
The solo plan has a published price and a 7-day free trial. For teams, its pricing page says pricing "is configured to the stack hireEZ replaces rather than a flat per-seat rate", validated in "a four-week verification" before you sign.
Pick it if you want to replace several tools at once and keep your ATS. See our hireEZ review and hireEZ alternatives.
4. Juicebox: best for prompt-based search with contact credits on a monthly seat
Juicebox lets you "Find, verify, and email perfect-fit candidates in one prompt" across "800M+ profiles across 30+ sources". Seats include contact credits: a personal email costs 1 credit and phone numbers cost 3.
Seats are monthly or yearly with published prices. ATS or CRM integration comes only on the custom Business plan, "Available on annual only". There's no interview step.
Pick it if you want search and contact data in one self-serve seat. Our Juicebox review and Juicebox alternatives page compare it further.
5. ContactOut: best for personal emails and mobile numbers while you work in LinkedIn
ContactOut tells recruiters to "Access personal emails and mobile numbers" on "LinkedIn Standard, Recruiter Lite and Pro". It lists 350M professionals and can save candidates to "Lever, Greenhouse and Bullhorn" through its Chrome extension.
New accounts get 10 free credits with no card. Paid plans are monthly with an annual discount, and the Team plan with ATS integrations is by contact. It's contact data only, with no ranking or screening.
Pick it if you'll keep searching in LinkedIn and only need a better way to reach people.
6. SignalHire: best if you want to pay only when a contact comes back, with no seat fee
SignalHire offers "Real-time verified personal and work contacts for recruiters" and says its profiles are updated every 7 to 10 days. One credit "returns every available contact for a profile and is only charged on success".
Its pricing page splits plans by data type, monthly or annual, and says "we do not charge per seat". A fair-use policy caps spending at 2,000 credits a month, and it syncs with Zoho Recruit and Recruitee.
Pick it if your team shares one budget and won't pay for empty lookups.
7. RocketReach: best for agencies on Bullhorn that want personal emails on every paid seat
RocketReach searches "700 million professionals and 60 million companies". Every paid plan lists "Unlimited verified personal & professional emails", phones start on Pro, and the higher plans include a Bullhorn integration. A lookup "is used if we find and verify email or phone, otherwise it is refunded".
Plans are per seat, monthly or annual. Cancelling "takes effect the following term", so a prepaid year runs out.
Pick it if your agency lives in Bullhorn and wants personal emails without counting each one.
8. Lusha: best if published compliance certifications decide the purchase
Lusha calls itself "the B2B data and intelligence layer for GTM teams and AI agents", with "525M+ verified contacts". It lists ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications, and its FAQ says recruiters use it to "re-verify past candidate pools".
The free plan gives 40 credits a month with no card. Paid plans are per seat, a phone reveal costs 5 credits, and teams above 5 users go through sales.
Pick it if legal or security review is the hardest part of buying any data tool.
9. Apollo: best free plan with email sequences, if sales-shaped filters don't bother you
Apollo is "the AI sales platform rebuilt as one connected AI GTM system", with "240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts". Its free plan "stays free with no time limit", and email campaigns come with every account.
Monthly billing lets you "cancel anytime". Credits are pooled across the team, but "Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle". Nothing on its pricing page mentions recruiting or an ATS. If sequences are what you need, our list of recruiting outreach software covers tools built for candidates.
Pick it if you hire rarely and want free contact data plus a basic sequence.
10. Kaspr: best for European contact data pulled from LinkedIn
Kaspr is a LinkedIn Chrome extension and web app that promises "accurate European contact data" from "over 150 sources". It says "Recruiters use Kaspr to find top talent".
The free plan gives 15 B2B email credits, 5 phone credits and 5 direct email credits a month. Paid plans are per user with unlimited B2B email credits, shared across the team. Its integrations are CRMs such as HubSpot and Salesforce, with no ATS named.
Pick it if you hire mostly in Europe and source from LinkedIn.
How does ZoomInfo compare with SeekOut, hireEZ, Apollo and Lusha?
ZoomInfo vs SeekOut vs hireEZ for sourcing
SeekOut and hireEZ were built for recruiting: both search 1B+ profiles plus your ATS on team tiers, show a price for their entry plan and run AI screening. ZoomInfo Talent sits on a sales database of 500M contacts, adds Talent Autopilot to explain why candidates fit, and shows no price. For sourcing depth, SeekOut and hireEZ go further.
ZoomInfo vs Apollo vs Lusha for recruiters
All 3 are sales tools first with a free plan. Apollo and Lusha publish paid prices; ZoomInfo quotes, but sells a separate Talent package. For a recruiter, Apollo is the cheap start, Lusha the easier compliance review, and ZoomInfo the pick when sales already owns the contract.
Who is The Cognitive built for?
I built The Cognitive for recruiters whose hiring comes in waves: a small in-house team with 4 open roles this quarter, or an agency with a new search. You search, reveal the contacts you need and interview the shortlist, on a monthly plan you can stop when the roles close.
- Keep your ATS. The Cognitive connects to 60+ ATSs, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday, through one unified integration. It writes a note with the interview score, summary and report link back to candidates you imported from the ATS.
- Keep ZoomInfo if sales already pays for it. Use The Cognitive for search and the first interview.
- Pair it with SeekOut or hireEZ if your ATS history is your main pool. The Cognitive covers the people outside it.
How do you test a ZoomInfo alternative before your renewal?
Start 60 days before your ZoomInfo term ends. Check how many emails and phone numbers each tool gets right for 20 people you already know. Then run a fresh search for 1 open role and count the people you'd contact and the hours before a hiring manager sees a shortlist. The Cognitive has a free trial with 100 sourcing credits for that test.
Test The Cognitive before your ZoomInfo renewal Run the same role, reveal only the contacts you need and interview the people you pick, live, with AI. Start free

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best ZoomInfo alternative for recruiters?
The Cognitive is the best ZoomInfo alternative for recruiters in 2026. It searches ~900M public profiles from a plain-English brief, charges for an email or phone reveal only when a value comes back, and runs a live AI video interview with the people you pick, on a monthly plan. SeekOut, hireEZ, Juicebox and ContactOut round out the top 5.
How much does ZoomInfo cost for recruiting?
ZoomInfo doesn't publish a paid price; it quotes based on features, the number of licences and credit usage, and each profile export costs one credit. Its pricing page lists a Talent package for recruiters with no figure, and its licence terms say the agreement is not cancellable. The Cognitive publishes its price: AI Sourcing starts at $49/month and AI Interview at $99/month.
Does ZoomInfo have a free trial?
Yes. ZoomInfo says it typically offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card once you verify a business email, and its About page mentions a permanent free plan. The trial page describes contact search, intent signals and email outreach and doesn't mention Talent. The Cognitive has a free trial with 100 sourcing credits.
Can I cancel a ZoomInfo contract early?
Not under ZoomInfo's standard licence terms, which say the agreement is not cancellable and runs until it expires. The term length is set in your order form. One written exit is data accuracy: if more than 5% of your licensed contacts no longer work at the listed company and ZoomInfo can't fix it within 30 days of your notice, you can end the agreement with a prorated refund.
Does ZoomInfo have personal emails?
ZoomInfo's pages describe business emails and mobile or direct phone numbers; none of the pages I read on 3 October 2026 mention personal emails. If personal emails matter, SignalHire, ContactOut, RocketReach and Juicebox name them on their own sites.
What happened to ZoomInfo TalentOS?
ZoomInfo now sells its recruiting product as ZoomInfo Talent, built around an AI agent called Talent Autopilot. The name TalentOS appears on none of its pages I read on 3 October 2026, and its old TalentOS URL returns a 404. I found no announcement dating the change.
Is there a cheaper alternative to ZoomInfo for a small recruiting team?
Yes. The Cognitive runs on monthly plans you can cancel, with credits charged per candidate a search returns and per successful reveal, and it also interviews the people you pick. For contact data alone, Apollo, Lusha, Kaspr, SignalHire, RocketReach and ContactOut all have free plans or free lookups and publish their prices.
Who are ZoomInfo's main competitors for recruiting?
For recruiting, ZoomInfo's main competitors are The Cognitive, SeekOut, hireEZ and Juicebox for finding candidates, and ContactOut, SignalHire, RocketReach, Lusha, Apollo and Kaspr for contact data. The Cognitive is the only one of these that also runs a live, two-way AI video interview in a self-serve account at a published price.
How accurate is ZoomInfo's data?
ZoomInfo publishes counts rather than an accuracy rate: its About page lists 135M+ verified phone numbers and 200M+ verified business emails. Its licence terms give it 30 days to bring your licensed contacts back to at least 95% accurate after you report a problem. No vendor on this list publishes an independent accuracy test, so check any tool on 20 people you already know.
