SeekOut Review: The Recruiting Tool, Its Pricing Model and Who It Fits

What does SeekOut do?

SeekOut's homepage sums it up as "Source candidates, evaluate every applicant, and screen with AI". You can use it in SeekOut itself, inside an AI assistant through SeekOut MCP, or through SeekOut Agents. It says "750+" enterprises use it.

• Sources. AI search covers "1B+" profiles. SeekOut says it reads signals from patents, GitHub and publications, not only resumes. A Chrome extension adds profiles from other sites.
• Filters for diversity and clearance. Paid team tiers add "Advanced diversity filters & insights" and inferred security clearance. The cleared-talent page lists "12 precise clearance levels", from Public Trust to Yankee White.
• Rediscovers. On the Sourcing + Integration tier, one search covers external profiles and your ATS, with "ATS rediscovery & silver medalists". SeekOut's own figure is that "44%" of great hires are already in your ATS.
• Screens inbound applicants. "Our AI screener conducts video interviews with candidates, evaluates responses against your criteria, and delivers qualified shortlists." SeekOut says candidates are "never auto-rejected".
• Engages. "AI multi-step campaigns" with email integration and send on behalf are on every tier, including Sourcing Core.
• Works inside AI assistants. SeekOut MCP runs in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot with 14 built-in recruiting workflows, included with SeekOut Sourcing.

How does SeekOut recruiting work, step by step?

• 1. Start a search. Paste a job description or type the role, and SeekOut turns it into criteria and filters you can adjust.
• 2. Build a rubric. The Rubric Creator agent turns your criteria into a hiring rubric, and the Candidate Finder agent searches public profiles and ATS data against it.
• 3. Rediscover. With the ATS connected, past applicants and silver medalists show up next to external profiles in Workspaces.
• 4. Reach out. The Outreach Expert agent drafts personalised emails, and multi-step campaigns send the follow-ups.
• 5. Evaluate applicants. Inbound Evaluation reads each applicant "the moment they apply", scores them against role requirements and routes the top ones to a recruiter.
• 6. Screen. The AI screener interviews applicants by video. Its questions "adapt to each candidate's background", and responses come back summarised and scored. Your team decides who moves forward.

SeekOut pricing: how is SeekOut priced?

SeekOut publishes a price for one plan: SeekOut Sourcing Core (Recruit Core), the self-serve plan "for individual recruiters getting started". It comes monthly or annually, and annual billing is cheaper. It's the only plan with a free trial: "14 days free", with "No credit card required. No contract commitment."

The other 3 tiers show "Custom" where a price would be, and each is "Billed annually" behind "Book a demo". SeekOut Sourcing is priced per seat, and SeekOut says the seat price "adjusts with volume". Sourcing + Integration comes in packages "tailored to team size". Full Recruiting Funnel is fully configurable, with "Volume-based pricing available".

So the honest answer to "how much does SeekOut cost" has 2 parts. One recruiter can see the exact Sourcing Core price on seekout.com/pricing before talking to anyone. A team that wants ATS rediscovery, diversity filters or AI screening gets a quote and an annual contract. AI Inbound Screening is an add-on on the 2 middle tiers and only comes bundled in Full Recruiting Funnel. Sourcing Core and the 2 middle tiers include a monthly allowance of contact credits and exports, counted per seat on the team tiers.

Where does SeekOut not fit?

These limits come from SeekOut's own pricing page and its G2 reviewers.

• Most of the product sits behind a quote. ATS rediscovery, diversity filters and AI screening are all on custom, annual tiers.
• The AI interview is sold for inbound applicants. SeekOut describes it as inbound evaluation that screens people as they apply, and its pages don't describe running it on the passive candidates you source.
• It doesn't replace your ATS. SeekOut connects to one on Sourcing + Integration and up.
• Contact credits are a monthly allowance. One G2 reviewer wrote that "I wasn't able to reuse them if I didn't use them".
• Coverage may thin out beyond US tech. The same reviewer found it "less effective" outside "US technical roles".

What do SeekOut reviews on G2 say?

SeekOut holds 4.5 out of 5 on G2 from 797 reviews, read on 4 October 2026. 68% are five-star and 26% four-star. G2's AI summary says users praise "powerful candidate search and AI-driven insights", while "many note a steep learning curve for new users".

The praise is specific. A senior analyst at a small fintech called it "basically LinkedIn Recruiter at a discount plus a bunch more" and liked profile cloning for niche engineering roles. Others name the filters and the reach beyond standard resumes.

The complaints repeat 4 themes. Learning curve comes first. Data freshness is next: "Some profiles can have outdated information". Then match precision, where one lead recruiter found results "broader than expected". Last is cost for small teams, with a request for "more flexible pricing for smaller organizations".

Where does SeekOut sit in a recruiting stack?

SeekOut covers sourcing and inbound screening and sits beside your ATS. Its rediscovery and AI screening both need that ATS connection, which starts on the Sourcing + Integration tier.

How does SeekOut compare with alternatives?

• Buy it if you hire at scale, want your ATS history searched next to 1B+ profiles, or recruit cleared or diverse technical talent.
• Look elsewhere if you want ATS rediscovery or AI screening at a published monthly price, or an AI interview for the people you source.
• Before you commit, run the 14-day Sourcing Core trial on a live role, then get a written quote for the tier your team actually needs.

The Cognitive publishes this review and competes with SeekOut on sourcing. I kept every SeekOut claim to its own site and G2.

SeekOut isn't an ATS, so it isn't one of The Cognitive's 60+ ATS integrations and there's no direct connection. If you run both, export from SeekOut and upload the CSV to The Cognitive, and the report comes back as a read-only link.

The Cognitive searches ~900M public profiles from a plain-English brief and reveals verified emails and phone numbers. It then runs a live, two-way AI video interview of 10 or 20 minutes with the people you choose, sourced or not. Each one is scored 1 to 5 per criterion, with a weighted score out of 100.
