Terms of Service

These terms govern use of The Cognitive's AI recruiting platform — AI sourcing, live AI interviews, transcripts and scorecards — by employers, recruiters and candidates. Using the platform means accepting them.

Services Provided

The Cognitive provides AI-assisted sourcing, live two-way AI video interviews, recordings, transcripts, evidence-based scorecards, analytics and related integrations. Accounts are the customer's responsibility to keep secure and accurate.

Employer Responsibilities

Employers determine which candidates are interviewed, on what criteria, and under which local employment and privacy laws. Employers are responsible for obtaining candidate consent where required and for compliance with hiring regulations that apply to them.

AI Outputs and Recommendations

Scores, summaries and recommendations produced by the platform are decision support, not decisions. They should not be the sole basis for rejecting or hiring anyone, and employers remain responsible for reviewing the underlying evidence — every score links to a quote and a timestamp for exactly this reason.

Subscription and Billing

Plans are billed by subscription. Interview plans and sourcing credit plans are priced separately; unused allowances and overage behaviour follow the plan terms shown at pricing.

Acceptable Use, Confidentiality and Termination

The platform may not be used to misuse candidate data, circumvent access controls, or for any unlawful purpose. Both parties protect confidential information disclosed under these terms. Either party may terminate in line with the agreement; the service is provided without warranty of uninterrupted availability, and liability is limited as set out in the full terms.
