Jobvite Alternatives in 2026: 10 Options for Mid-Market and Enterprise TA Teams

The best Jobvite alternatives in 2026 do two different jobs. If Jobvite's workflow is fine but too few good people reach it, keep Jobvite and add The Cognitive, which sources across ~900M public profiles and interviews your picks live with AI. If the applicant tracking system (ATS) itself has to go, iCIMS and Greenhouse are the closest replacements for a mid-market or enterprise team.

The other Jobvite competitors fit narrower cases: SmartRecruiters for SAP shops, Workday Recruiting for Workday HR customers, Lever to stay with Jobvite's parent, Phenom and Paradox for volume, and Ashby and Workable for smaller teams.

Jobvite's own parent tracks the problem. Employ's 2026 Hiring Benchmarks, built on 6,640 customers across Jobvite, Lever and JazzHR, found time to fill fell from 67.7 days in 2024 to 63.5 in 2025, while time to hire crept up from 45.7 to 46.2 days. Time to hire runs from application to accepted offer, so the stretch that got slower is screening and interviewing.

The best Jobvite alternatives in 2026

  1. The Cognitive: best overall, for sourcing new candidates and interviewing them live with AI, next to Jobvite or any ATS you move to.
  2. iCIMS: best for a like-for-like enterprise ATS at high volume.
  3. Greenhouse: best for structured hiring in mid-market and enterprise teams.
  4. SmartRecruiters: best for companies on SAP SuccessFactors.
  5. Workday Recruiting: best for companies whose HR already runs on Workday.
  6. Lever: best for ATS and CRM in one, from the same parent as Jobvite.
  7. Phenom: best for a career site, CRM and AI interviewer in one enterprise platform.
  8. Paradox: best for hourly and frontline hiring by text.
  9. Ashby: best for growing companies that want ATS, CRM and analytics in one product.
  10. Workable: best for smaller teams that want a published price and a free trial.

Full disclosure: I run The Cognitive, and it isn't an ATS. I put it first on a test you can rerun: it's the only tool here that finds people outside your database and runs a live, two-way AI video interview with them, in an account you can open without a sales call, at a published price. Numbers 2 to 10 are ranked by how well each fits a typical Jobvite buyer, a mid-sized or enterprise team with complex workflows; that order is my judgment. I have not used the other 9 on a paid account. What I say about them comes from their own websites, read on 3 October 2026.

What happened to Jobvite after the Employ merger?

Jobvite is still sold as its own product, owned by Employ Inc. In April 2021 Jobvite joined forces with JazzHR and NXTThing RPO in a deal announced by K1 Investment Management, and in August 2022 Lever joined Employ. Employ now runs 3 ATS brands with over 600 staff, and its homepage splits them by buyer: JazzHR for lean teams, Lever for high-growth teams, and Jobvite for "complex hiring needs".

2026 has been busy at the parent. Employ's press room lists a new CEO, Jerry Jao, on 18 February, then a new CTO, CRO and CFO by March. In August it said Jobvite earned 10 Top Performer badges in The Hackett Group's 2026 vendor assessment. One detail matters for buyers: the June VONQ partnership embeds AI screening "in Lever and JazzHR". If you're on Jobvite, ask your account team which of Employ's AI features reach Jobvite, and when.

What do Jobvite reviews say?

Jobvite holds 4 out of 5 from 674 reviews on G2 (read 3 October 2026). "Ease of Use" is the top tagged strength, 64 times, followed by "Candidate Management" at 40. The complaints are specific:

On the same page, iCIMS scores 4.2 (991 reviews), Lever 4.3 (2,124), Greenhouse 4.4 (4,035) and Workable 4.4 (706).

Should you keep Jobvite or switch?

Keep Jobvite if your complaint is the people in it. Jobvite is on The Cognitive's list of 60+ ATS integrations, so you can import candidates from Jobvite, interview them live with AI, and get a note written back on each of those candidates with the score, summary and report link. People you source inside The Cognitive aren't pushed into Jobvite automatically, so you add the ones you want. For the AI side of that pairing, see The Cognitive's AI recruiter.

Switch if your complaint is the system itself, such as workflows you can't change or reports that need an analyst. Then iCIMS, Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters and Workday are the alternatives to Jobvite that match its scale, and The Cognitive connects to all 4.

How do the Jobvite alternatives compare?

Here is how they stack up. I filled in every cell from the vendor's own site on 3 October 2026:

How did we rank these Jobvite alternatives?

I started with the 10 tools that recruiters most often weigh against Jobvite, including the 3 Jobvite compares itself with on its own site: Greenhouse, iCIMS and SmartRecruiters. I kept 9 and dropped Teamtailor, a careers-site ATS that fits smaller teams better than Jobvite's regulated, multi-site buyers.

The Cognitive is first on 4 tests anyone can check: it finds people outside your database; it runs a live, two-way AI video interview with them; you can open an account without a sales call; the price is on the website. Workable passes 3, but its video interview is one-way, per its help centre. Phenom searches the open market and runs a real-time voice AI interviewer, but it's sold by demo with no published price. Greenhouse's Voice AI is two-way, by voice and through a demo.

For the 9 others, I asked how much of a Jobvite setup would survive the move, from configurable workflows to compliance records. iCIMS and Greenhouse keep the most. I couldn't test anything behind a paid login.

How do you choose a Jobvite alternative?

Mid-market or enterprise: which Jobvite alternative fits?

Jobvite says it is "built for mid-sized and enterprise organizations". For thousands of hires a year across business units, look at iCIMS, Workday Recruiting or SmartRecruiters, which says it suits "organizations with at least 50 employees" and a lot of open requisitions. For a mid-market team of a few hundred people, Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby fit better; Ashby's Plus plan is labeled "Best for 101 - 1000 employees". Our enterprise recruiting software guide covers the larger suites in more depth, and the talent acquisition software roundup covers the platforms around the ATS.

Is the problem the ATS or the shortlist?

Count where last year's hires came from. Gem's 2026 recruiting benchmarks found job boards and company marketing bring roughly 90% of applications but only about half of hires, while direct sourcing produced 11% of hires from 2.6% of applications. If your best hires are people who never applied, a new ATS won't find more of them. The Cognitive searches ~900M public profiles and hands the people you pick to whichever ATS you keep.

What compliance records do you need?

Jobvite sells to regulated industries and lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 on its security page. Ask every finalist for the same 2 documents before the demo. The Cognitive keeps a transcript, recording and per-criterion scores for every AI interview, and nothing is rejected automatically.

Who runs the first interview?

An ATS schedules interviews but doesn't hold them. Decide who handles round 1 before you compare ATS features; with The Cognitive, a live AI interview runs it and your team reads the report.

How does Jobvite compare with iCIMS, Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters and Lever?

Jobvite vs iCIMS

Both are configurable enterprise ATSs for high volume. Jobvite's comparison page leads on its "60+ prebuilt recruiting, DE&I, pipeline, and performance reports"; iCIMS answers with scale, more than 4,400 companies in 200 countries. On G2, iCIMS scores 4.2 to Jobvite's 4. Pick iCIMS for the bigger ecosystem and Jobvite for out-of-the-box reporting. If Workday is also on your list, read Workday vs iCIMS.

Jobvite vs Greenhouse

Jobvite's page on Greenhouse claims Greenhouse "Lacks extensive native talent sourcing abilities". Greenhouse puts structured interview kits and scorecards on every plan. Pick Greenhouse for structured hiring, Jobvite for recruitment marketing and texting. See also Greenhouse vs iCIMS and our Greenhouse alternatives guide.

Jobvite vs SmartRecruiters

Jobvite says SmartRecruiters "leans heavily on its marketplace to deliver core functionality". SmartRecruiters' answer is SAP: it is now available on SAP SuccessFactors and says it is "natively integrated with SAP". If HR runs on SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters wins on data continuity.

Jobvite vs Lever

Same owner, different buyer. Employ pitches Lever as "a scalable talent relationship platform" for high-growth teams and Jobvite as the tool for complex hiring. Lever says most customers are implemented "within weeks, not months", and it's one of the 2 Employ ATSs named in the VONQ screening partnership. More in our Lever alternatives guide.

The 10 best Jobvite alternatives, reviewed

1. The Cognitive: best overall, for sourcing new candidates and interviewing them live with AI

The Cognitive is AI recruiting software that sources candidates across ~900M public profiles and interviews them live with AI, next to Jobvite or the ATS you move to.

You describe the role in plain English and it reads the brief into filters you can edit. When I typed "Senior backend engineer with 5+ years of Go who has built payments systems, Remote EU", it read "Remote EU" as Germany plus 7 other countries. Everyone found is judged against your must-haves, and anyone who misses one drops below the people who meet them. Each result card opens with a "Why this match" line traced to the profile, such as "Go listed in skills".

Search costs 1 credit per candidate a search returns, 5 to reveal an email and 10 to reveal a phone number, charged only when a value comes back. Emails and phone numbers are verified and enriched from 30+ sources. Sourcing Pro adds email and SMS sequences, sent from platform mailboxes, and a reply or opt-out on either channel stops both. The people you pick then get a live AI interview, covered below.

It isn't an ATS: no job posting, careers page, offers or funnel analytics, and no search of your Jobvite history. Jobvite is one of its 60+ ATS integrations: candidates you import from Jobvite get a note back with the interview score, summary and report link.

Pick it if you're thinking about leaving Jobvite because hard roles stay open, or you want round 1 done before your team spends an hour. More on the AI sourcing tool page.

Fill Jobvite with people worth interviewing Describe the role in plain English, see who matches your must-haves, and interview the people you pick, live, with AI. Start free

2. iCIMS: best for a like-for-like enterprise ATS at high volume

iCIMS calls itself a "highly-configurable enterprise ATS" and says more than 4,400 companies use it, a quarter of the Fortune 500 among them. Its AI page lists a Sourcing Agent, AI matching, a career site chatbot, automated interview scheduling and AI-generated interview questions.

The limit: there's no price on the site, and the page doesn't say whether the Sourcing Agent searches outside your own records. Other options for this kind of load are in our high-volume hiring software list.

Pick it if you hire thousands a year and want the closest match to Jobvite's configurability.

3. Greenhouse: best for structured hiring in mid-market and enterprise teams

Greenhouse is used by more than 7,500 companies, per its company profile. Every plan includes "Sourcing & CRM" and "Structured interview kits & scorecards". Its Voice AI, bought from Ezra AI Labs in May 2026, runs "a two-way voice interview on the candidate's schedule" and is sold to companies on other ATSs too.

The limit: pricing "is customized based on your company's hiring needs", so every plan starts with a demo. Our Greenhouse pricing guide explains how the plans are built.

Pick it if consistent scorecards across hiring managers matter more to you than recruitment marketing.

4. SmartRecruiters: best for companies on SAP SuccessFactors

SmartRecruiters is now available on SAP SuccessFactors and says it has over 4,000 customers. Its Winston AI covers matching, screening and a career-site chat, and messaging runs over SMS and WhatsApp. The pricing page shows a starting price for Essential; the other 3 plans are by request.

The limit: it says it suits companies with at least 50 employees and doesn't support agencies.

Pick it if your HR runs on SAP and you want recruiting from the same family.

5. Workday Recruiting: best for companies whose HR already runs on Workday

Workday sells recruiting inside its Talent Acquisition suite with HiredScore AI, which grades candidates and surfaces "likely-to-apply leads from your existing databases and partner networks". Its candidate agent is "powered by Paradox" and schedules interviews by conversational AI.

The limit: no price on the site, and it makes most sense bought with Workday HR.

Pick it if HR, payroll and finance already live in Workday.

6. Lever: best for ATS and CRM in one, from the same parent as Jobvite

Lever describes itself as an ATS and recruiting CRM "Built for growing and enterprise teams". The core plan includes AI-powered screening and "Unlimited AI interview transcripts and summaries", and AI Screening by VONQ is an add-on.

The limit: every price is a custom quote, and you'd still be an Employ customer. Read our Lever review for the detail.

Pick it if you want a lighter, CRM-led ATS and a quicker rollout.

7. Phenom: best for a career site, CRM and AI interviewer in one enterprise platform

Phenom sells a talent intelligence platform. Its X+ Source "searches your CRM and the open market in one workflow", and its AI Interviewer "holds a real-time voice conversation that adapts to the candidate's answers", then returns a transcript, scores and a summary. Recruiters decide who advances.

The limit: everything starts with "Book a demo", and no price is published.

Pick it if you're a large employer that wants career site, CRM and first-round AI from one vendor.

8. Paradox: best for hourly and frontline hiring by text

Paradox runs a "Conversational ATS" for frontline workers, with an AI assistant, Olivia, that says it automates "90% of the hiring process with two-way messaging and automated interview scheduling". Its video page offers recorded video responses and in-browser interviews hosted by your team. Workday's menu now lists it as Workday Paradox.

The limit: it's sold by demo and doesn't source people who haven't applied.

Pick it if most of your Jobvite reqs are hourly and candidates answer texts faster than email.

9. Ashby: best for growing companies that want ATS, CRM and analytics in one product

Ashby bundles ATS, CRM, scheduling and analytics. Its AI Candidate Search "Generates candidate-search filters from a typed natural-language prompt", sequences run "across email and LinkedIn InMail", and its AI Notetaker records and summarizes interviews.

The limit: only the Foundations plan, up to 100 employees, shows a price; above that, pricing "is based on company size, usage, and commitment".

Pick it if you're a mid-market company that wants reporting without a BI team. If Ashby is already on your list, compare it in Ashby alternatives.

10. Workable: best for smaller teams that want a published price and a free trial

Workable says 35,000+ teams use it. Prices are on the site by employee band, and the 15-day trial needs no credit card. Its agent searches 400M+ profiles and "runs on AI credits".

The limit: video interviews are an add-on, and they're one-way.

Pick it if your Jobvite contract is more system than your team uses. See Workable alternatives before you commit.

Which Jobvite alternatives include AI sourcing and AI interviews?

Jobvite's AI helps the humans. Its AI Interview Companion writes an interview guide from a pasted job description and supports structured feedback, and its CRM rediscovers people already in your database. Among the 9 alternatives, Workable and Phenom search outside profiles, and Greenhouse and Phenom run two-way voice AI interviews.

The Cognitive runs a live, two-way AI video interview with the people you sourced or imported: 10 or 20 minutes, in any of 9 languages. Candidates book their own slot without an account, and the invitation tells them the interview is run by AI. The rubric is fixed for the role and the questions adapt to each answer. You get a 1 to 5 score per criterion, overall written feedback, a weighted score out of 100, a suggested verdict, the transcript and the recording. Integrity flags are logged, not scored, and a read-only link shares the scores, feedback and recording with a hiring manager.

The 5-minute recording above is a live AI interview for a go-to-market role. The AI asks about an outbound email campaign, then follows up on reply rates and how leads were qualified. More on the AI interviewer page.

How much does Jobvite cost?

Jobvite pricing is by quote. Its pricing page says "Start With the Core. Then Make it Yours.": you buy the core ATS and add modules such as Onboarding, the AI Interview Companion and recruitment marketing. Every button says "Get My Quote", and there's no figure on the site. G2's reviewer averages show a 10% discount and 14 months to return on investment, so treat the first quote as a starting point.

The alternatives use 5 pricing models:

The Cognitive's AI Sourcing starts at $49/month and AI Interview at $99/month, on monthly plans you can cancel anytime. Budget for it on top of whichever ATS you keep. Details on our pricing page.

How hard is it to switch off Jobvite?

Plan for months. G2 reviewers took 3 months on average to implement Jobvite, and leaving means rebuilding workflows per business unit, approvals, texting templates and onboarding forms. Ask each finalist to scope the migration in writing, including your Jobvite data export.

Run 1 open role in the new system for 2 weeks before you give notice, and time the switch to your renewal date. If the real problem is a thin pipeline, connect The Cognitive to Jobvite first.

Who is The Cognitive built for?

We built The Cognitive for in-house recruiters whose hard roles need people who aren't applying. You see who matches across ~900M public profiles and read an interview report before anyone on your team spends an hour. It connects to 60+ ATSs, Jobvite included; see the full list on our integrations page.

You import candidates from Jobvite, interview them live with AI, and a note with the score, summary and report link is written back to each imported candidate. People you source inside The Cognitive aren't pushed into Jobvite automatically.

How hard is it to switch off Jobvite?

Switching off Jobvite takes months of planning: G2 reviewers average 3 months to implement it, and you rebuild workflows, approvals, texting templates and onboarding forms in the new system.
