Recruit CRM Alternatives: Where Agencies Go Next, and When to Keep Recruit CRM

The best Recruit CRM alternative in 2026 is The Cognitive, if what you need is more candidates found and interviewed: it searches ~900M public profiles from a plain-English brief, reveals verified emails and phone numbers, and runs a live, two-way AI video interview with the people you pick. It sits next to Recruit CRM or whichever CRM replaces it. If you're replacing the CRM itself, Crelate, Loxo and Recruiterflow are the closest Recruit CRM competitors, and Bullhorn is the pick for big temp desks.

Before you migrate, count what's already in your database. Gem's 2026 Recruiting Benchmarks, drawn from 1.2 million hires, found that 46% of sourced hires now come from candidates already sitting in a company's CRM or ATS, up from 26% in 2021. A clean Recruit CRM database is worth keeping unless the CRM itself is the problem, because candidate rediscovery only works on records you still have.

The best Recruit CRM alternatives in 2026

  1. The Cognitive: best for adding outside sourcing and live AI interviews to Recruit CRM, or to the CRM you move to.
  2. Crelate: best like-for-like agency CRM with a published price, a monthly option and a self-serve trial.
  3. Loxo: best for executive search firms that want an 850M+ talent graph inside the CRM.
  4. Recruiterflow: best for search firms that want one published per-user plan with no add-ons.
  5. Bullhorn: best for staffing firms with a large temp book and a back office to run.
  6. Manatal: best low-cost agency ATS with an AI video screening add-on.
  7. Zoho Recruit: best for small agencies that want a free plan and no forced contract.
  8. JobAdder: best for agencies with a contract desk that are happy to buy through a proposal.
  9. Atlas: best for larger agencies whose main job is mining their own database.
  10. Ceipal: best for US IT and healthcare staffing firms that also need a vendor management system.

Full disclosure: I run The Cognitive. I put it first on a 4-part test you can check yourself. It's the only tool on this list that searches outside your database from a plain-English brief, reveals phone numbers as well as emails, runs a live, two-way AI video interview at a slot the candidate books, and lets you start self-serve at a published monthly price. It isn't a CRM, so I rank it as the layer that fills Recruit CRM or its replacement; after #1, the order is my judgment. I haven't used the other 9 on a paid account. What I say about them comes from their own websites, read on 4 October 2026, plus public reviews.

What is Recruit CRM, and is it any good?

Recruit CRM calls itself an "AI First ATS + CRM built for recruitment agencies", trusted by agency recruiters in 100+ countries. It covers perm, contract and executive search. Beyond the pipeline it has timesheets and contractor pay, a website builder, job posting to 5,000+ boards and an alert when a pitched candidate joins a client.

Its sourcing guide says AI Sourcing takes a plain-English search and returns up to 10 enriched profiles per search from LinkedIn and the web. A Chrome extension captures profiles from LinkedIn, Xing and your inbox. Named agents parse custom fields, format CVs and draft submissions and pitch emails.

It's rated 4.9 out of 5 from 476 reviews on Capterra. My review in one line: it's a strong, well-priced agency CRM, and the gaps are the first interview and price transparency. Our full Recruit CRM review covers its plans and agents in more depth.

Why do agencies look for Recruit CRM alternatives?

The reasons are specific, and most of them sit on the pricing page:

Should you keep Recruit CRM or switch?

Keep it if the CRM works and your problem is filling roles. Add The Cognitive for outside sourcing at scale and the first-round interview. Recruit CRM isn't one of The Cognitive's 60+ direct ATS integrations today, so the workflow is a CSV upload of the candidates you want to interview, plus a read-only report link you paste into the Recruit CRM record or send to the client. Results don't write back into Recruit CRM automatically.

Switch if the CRM is the problem. Crelate, Loxo, Recruiterflow, Manatal, Zoho Recruit and Atlas all publish a price. Bullhorn, Crelate, JobAdder, Manatal, Recruiterflow and Zoho Recruit are on The Cognitive's direct integration list, so an imported candidate gets a note back with the score, a summary and the report link.

How do the top Recruit CRM competitors compare?

Here's how they stack up, with Recruit CRM as the baseline. I filled in every cell from the vendor's own site on 4 October 2026:

How did we rank these Recruit CRM alternatives?

I started from what an agency buys Recruit CRM for, then added the step it leaves to partners, the first interview. A tool made the list if agencies shortlist it against Recruit CRM, or if it covers a step Recruit CRM doesn't. I dropped Access Vincere Evo because its pricing page blocked me on the day, and I don't rank what I can't read.

The Cognitive is #1 on the 4-part test in the disclosure, checked against Recruit CRM and all 9 others. Recruit CRM, Crelate, Loxo and Recruiterflow search outside your database but interview no one. Bullhorn and Ceipal screen by voice, not video. Manatal comes closest, with a 700M+ candidate database and an AI video interview, but candidates take it whenever they're ready and the add-on's price isn't published. Below #1, I ranked on how much of Recruit CRM each tool replaces and how openly it sells.

How do you choose a Recruit CRM alternative?

Is the problem the CRM or the pipeline?

If your biggest time costs are finding and screening people, you don't need a new CRM. If they're pricing or a feature locked on Enterprise, compare CRMs; our guide to recruiting CRM software covers the wider field.

How much of your week goes on first-round screens?

Recruiters now handle 93% more applications than in 2021 and carry 13.4 open roles at a time, according to the same Gem report. The Cognitive runs that screen as a live, two-way AI video interview of 10 or 20 minutes; most CRMs on this list leave it to you.

Do you need outside sourcing in the same tool?

Sourcing pays: Gem found sourced candidates are nearly 8 times more likely to be hired than inbound applicants. Recruit CRM, Crelate, Loxo, Recruiterflow and Manatal all search beyond your own records; Atlas searches the database you already have. The Cognitive searches ~900M public profiles, and everyone it finds stays with the role, so later searches skip people you've already seen.

How will you test contact data?

Reveal 20 contacts in a market you know and count the bounces. Recruit CRM puts enrichment on Enterprise. The Cognitive enriches contact details from 30+ sources, charges 5 credits for an email and 10 for a phone number, and charges a reveal only when a value comes back.

The 10 best Recruit CRM alternatives, reviewed

1. The Cognitive: best for adding outside sourcing and live AI interviews to Recruit CRM, or to the CRM you move to

The Cognitive is AI recruiting software that sources candidates across ~900M public profiles and interviews them live with AI, before anyone reaches your client.

You describe the role in plain English and it reads the brief into filters you can edit. When we typed "Senior backend engineer with 5+ years of Go who has built payments systems, Remote EU", it read "Remote EU" as Germany plus 7 other countries. Every person found is judged against the must-haves, and anyone who misses one drops below the people who meet them. Each result card opens with a "Why this match" line, 1 or 2 reasons traced to the profile, such as "Go listed in skills".

You reveal verified emails and phone numbers for the people you want to contact. On the Sourcing Pro plan you can run email and SMS sequences from platform mailboxes, and a reply or opt-out on either channel stops both.

For the interview, you invite candidates in bulk. The invitation tells candidates the interview is run by AI. They book their own slot without an account and talk live on video, in any of 9 languages. The rubric is fixed for the role and the questions adapt to each answer. The AI also plans up to 5 resume claims to probe and marks each one verified, refuted or unclear, with evidence from the conversation.

The 5-minute recording above is a live AI interview for a go-to-market role. The AI asks the candidate about an outbound email campaign, then follows up on reply rates and on how the leads were qualified.

The report gives a 1 to 5 score per criterion, a weighted score out of 100, a suggested verdict, the transcript and the recording. Nothing is rejected automatically. The read-only report link, with scores, feedback and recording, is your hand-off to a client or to the Recruit CRM record. More on our AI interviewer page.

The trade-off: it isn't an ATS or a CRM. There are no client records, job posting or invoicing, and it doesn't search your Recruit CRM history.

Pick it if Recruit CRM runs your business well and you need more people interviewed on each role. AI Sourcing starts at $49/month and AI Interview at $99/month. See how the search works on our AI sourcing page.

2. Crelate: best like-for-like agency CRM with a published price, a monthly option and a self-serve trial

Crelate says it "unifies sourcing, Recruiting CRM, and applicant tracking with agentic AI". Its Discovery Agent reaches "over 1 billion profiles", with phone and email information for outreach. That's the closest match to Recruit CRM's AI Sourcing on this list.

Where it beats Recruit CRM is openness. The pricing page shows per-user prices for Essentials (annual) and Business (annual or monthly), and its FAQ says you can start a free trial without talking to sales. The limit: email campaigns, texting and contact enrichment are each marked "additional fee". It doesn't interview candidates.

Pick it if you want a Recruit CRM swap you can price and trial without a sales call.

3. Loxo: best for executive search firms that want an 850M+ talent graph inside the CRM

Loxo builds sourcing into the CRM. Its Professional plan includes Loxo Source, a graph of 850M+ professionals searched together with your own private database, plus AI agents that take a new job order through to a ranked shortlist with contact information when available.

The trade-off is the contract. Loxo's pricing page publishes per-user prices but says "Annual plans, paid up front", where Recruit CRM lets you pay monthly and cancel. It offers a 7-day trial of the full Professional platform. Its agents stop at the shortlist, and nothing interviews the candidates on it.

Pick it if you run retained or executive search and can commit to a year. Our Loxo review and Loxo alternatives guide cover the other side of that choice.

4. Recruiterflow: best for search firms that want one published per-user plan with no add-ons

Recruiterflow says it's trusted by 2,100+ search firms, and its AIRA Source promises sourcing across 850M+ profiles without leaving the app.

The pricing page shows a per-user Platform Plan with a monthly toggle and promises "No add-ons. No surprises. No extra costs." The AIRA Plan, with the notetaker, matchmaker and submission agent, is custom priced, and the buttons say "Get Demo". Its paid migration typically takes 6 to 8 weeks. It has no AI interview.

Pick it if you'd rather see a single price than work through add-on credits. Our Recruiterflow alternatives page compares it in more depth.

5. Bullhorn: best for staffing firms with a large temp book and a back office to run

Bullhorn is the staffing incumbent. Its pricing page runs from Starter and Core, which show per-user prices, to Max and Bullhorn One, which say "Talk to us". Max adds agentic screening, One adds timesheet management and pay and bill automation, and external search sits on the upper editions.

Its help centre says Amplify Screen runs "in a combination of chat and voice interactions", with invitations by email or text. That's real AI screening, but not a video interview, and it sits on a quoted edition. Our Bullhorn pricing breakdown explains how the editions are sold.

Pick it if you place contractors at volume and want front and back office in one contract.

6. Manatal: best low-cost agency ATS with an AI video screening add-on

Manatal publishes per-user plans, monthly or yearly, with a 14-day free trial and no card required. Its pricing page lists sourcing "from a database of over 700 million candidates" and phone and email lookups.

Its AI Interviewer runs video interviews whenever candidates are ready, from "structured interviews with defined questions", with a set number of retakes. It's an add-on, and its price isn't on the pricing page.

Pick it if budget comes first and you want an AI screen that candidates take on their own time. If Manatal is your current tool, see our Manatal alternatives.

7. Zoho Recruit: best for small agencies that want a free plan and no forced contract

Zoho Recruit sells a Staffing Agency Edition, described as "an AI-powered, automation-friendly ATS" for consultants, clients and agency owners. Its assistant, Zia, helps source, screen and engage candidates.

The pricing page offers a Forever Free plan, paid plans per recruiter, "No forced contracts", a 15-day trial and a 45-day money-back guarantee. Its video interview add-on lets your team run one-way or live interviews themselves; there's no AI interviewer, and it doesn't advertise a public profile database.

Pick it if you already run on Zoho apps. Our list of Zoho Recruit competitors covers the reverse switch.

8. JobAdder: best for agencies with a contract desk that are happy to buy through a proposal

JobAdder sells 3 agency plans, from Lite for boutique agencies to Pro, plus Business for in-house teams. Lite includes temp and contract management, and Pro adds automations powered by Roi-AI.

Its pricing page shows no figures; you request pricing and get a tailored proposal. It lists no free trial, no public sourcing database and no AI interview.

Pick it if you need contract tools on the entry plan and don't mind a sales process.

9. Atlas: best for larger agencies whose main job is mining their own database

Atlas calls itself "the all-in-one AI recruitment platform for enterprise agencies". Its AI sourcing reads your entire database and returns matches in seconds, and a note taker transcribes calls.

The pricing page publishes per-user prices for Basic and Premium, which adds verified contacts, both with 14 days free. The catch: "Every Atlas plan runs on a 12-month commitment", even if you pay monthly. The tier for 10 desks and up is priced per agency. It doesn't advertise a public profile database or an AI interview.

Pick it if you hold years of candidate data and want more placements from it.

10. Ceipal: best for US IT and healthcare staffing firms that also need a vendor management system

Ceipal pitches a "Global ATS + Vendor Management System (VMS) with AI Matching" for IT, general and healthcare staffing. Its AI ranks your existing candidate database against a job.

Its recruiter agents page lists voice AI interviews, triggered from match scores. That's an AI screen by voice, not video. I found no public pricing page, and the site's buttons ask you to book a demo.

Pick it if you staff contractors into enterprise clients and need a VMS too. More options sit in our IT staffing software guide.

Recruit CRM vs Bullhorn, Loxo, Recruiterflow and Crelate: which is better?

None of the 5 runs a live AI video interview. For the wider field, see our guides to recruitment software for agencies and the best staffing software.

Who is The Cognitive built for?

We built The Cognitive for the agency recruiter who needs new names on a role this week and wants to send the client people who've already been interviewed, at a price they can see first.

How is Recruit CRM priced, and how do the alternatives charge?

Recruit CRM sells Pro, Business and Enterprise, billed monthly or annually. LinkedIn messaging and advanced analytics are billed per user, and enrichment, job posting and automation on Enterprise come with monthly usage credits. Its pricing page publishes a per-user monthly price once the page loads in a browser, and the FAQ says you can cancel anytime and export your data. The alternatives charge in 4 ways:

The Cognitive charges 1 credit per candidate a search returns, 5 to reveal an email and 10 to reveal a phone number. AI Sourcing starts at $49/month and AI Interview at $99/month, on monthly plans you can cancel anytime. Details are on our pricing page.

How do you test a Recruit CRM alternative without losing your data?

Don't migrate first. Run 1 live role for 2 weeks. To test a CRM, load a sample of your own records into a trial. To test The Cognitive, source the same role, reveal 20 contacts and count the bounces, then upload your top 10 as a CSV and interview them. If more reach the client than usual, keep Recruit CRM and add the layer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best alternative to Recruit CRM?

The Cognitive is the best Recruit CRM alternative in 2026 if you need more candidates found and interviewed, either next to Recruit CRM or next to the CRM you move to. It searches ~900M public profiles from a plain-English brief and runs a live, two-way AI video interview with the people you pick. If you're replacing the CRM itself, Crelate, Loxo and Recruiterflow are the closest Recruit CRM competitors.

Who are Recruit CRM's main competitors?

Recruit CRM's main competitors are Crelate, Loxo, Recruiterflow and Bullhorn, with Manatal, Zoho Recruit, JobAdder, Atlas and Ceipal close behind. All of them are agency ATS and CRM tools. The Cognitive competes on a different job: it adds outside sourcing and first-round AI interviews to whichever of them you use.

How much does Recruit CRM cost?

Recruit CRM sells Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, billed monthly or annually with up to 20% off annual, and its pricing page publishes a per-user monthly price for each plan (read 4 October 2026). Business asks you to schedule a walkthrough and Enterprise to book a demo, and some Enterprise features are billed per user. The Cognitive shows its prices: AI Sourcing starts at $49/month and AI Interview at $99/month.

Is Recruit CRM worth it? What do reviews say?

Yes, for most small and mid-sized agencies Recruit CRM is a well-reviewed choice, rated 4.9 out of 5 from 476 reviews on Capterra. The complaints I read include slow support at busy times and CV files that don't update to the newest version. Its gaps are a native AI interview and a published price, which is why some agencies add The Cognitive rather than switch.

Recruit CRM vs Bullhorn: which is better for an agency?

Recruit CRM is better for a small or mid-sized agency that wants monthly billing and the right to cancel anytime, and it already includes timesheets and bill and pay. Bullhorn is better for large staffing firms that want a deeper back office and AI screening by chat and voice, on editions sold by quote. Neither runs a live AI video interview, and The Cognitive connects to Bullhorn directly.

Recruit CRM vs Loxo: which should I choose?

Choose Loxo if you run executive search and want an 850M+ talent graph named in a specific plan, and can pay annually up front. Choose Recruit CRM if you want monthly billing, a 30-day trial and timesheets for contract work. Neither interviews candidates; The Cognitive adds that to both through a CSV upload and a read-only report link.

Recruit CRM vs Recruiterflow vs Crelate: which is best?

Pick Recruiterflow if you want one published per-user plan with no add-ons, Crelate if you want a published price, a monthly Business plan and a self-serve trial, and Recruit CRM if you want contract tools and cancel-anytime terms. All 3 source outside your database and none runs an AI interview. Recruiterflow and Crelate are on The Cognitive's direct integration list; Recruit CRM isn't yet.

Does Recruit CRM have AI interviews or AI screening?

No, Recruit CRM doesn't run AI interviews itself; screening comes from partner integrations such as CallPilot for AI screening calls and Skima AI for resume scores. Its own AI covers sourcing, matching, CV formatting and submissions. The Cognitive adds a live, two-way AI video interview of 10 or 20 minutes in 9 languages, with a 1 to 5 score per criterion and the recording.

Can I use The Cognitive with Recruit CRM?

Yes, through a CSV upload and a read-only report link. Recruit CRM isn't one of The Cognitive's 60+ direct ATS integrations today, so you upload the candidates you want to interview and paste or send the report link, which carries the scores, transcript and recording. Results don't write back into Recruit CRM automatically.

What is a cheaper alternative to Recruit CRM with a published price?

Zoho Recruit and Manatal are the low-cost picks with prices on their websites: Zoho Recruit has a Forever Free plan and Manatal a 14-day trial with no card. Crelate and Recruiterflow also publish per-user prices. If the gap is sourcing and screening rather than the CRM, The Cognitive starts self-serve with a free trial that includes 100 sourcing credits.
