One buys contract labor, the other sells it

Workday is software for the company that employs people. Its recruiting suite hires onto the company's own payroll, and its VNDLY product manages the contractors that same company buys from agencies. JobDiva is software for the agency on the other side of that purchase: it tracks candidates and client relationships, places people, then runs the timesheets, billing and payroll for those placements.

That makes JobDiva vs Workday a mismatch for most buyers. An agency would find no client CRM or pay and bill in Workday's recruiting pages. An employer would find in JobDiva client billing, VMS job spidering and a sales CRM it has no use for, and no employee record to hand a hire into.

What VMS synchronization means here

VMS synchronization Pulling job orders, timesheets, expenses and SOW records out of a client's vendor management system into the agency's own platform, and keeping them updated, so recruiters do not retype each requisition.

An employer posts a contract role in its VMS, which may be Workday VNDLY. An agency on JobDiva receives the job through JobDiva's sync, which it says indexes data from all major VMS platforms.

How a placement runs end to end in JobDiva

JobDiva describes its platform as front, middle and back office in one. This is the order its ATS page lays out, which has no equivalent inside Workday Recruiting.

  1. The job arrives A client requisition syncs in from the client's VMS, or an account manager logs it from the CRM record.
  2. The talent pool refreshes The harvesting tool pulls resumes from the agency's job board subscriptions and applicants, and suggested matches appear against the requisition.
  3. The candidate is onboarded Documents go out through a paperless, mobile process with encrypted signatures, I-9 collection and E-Verify checks.
  4. Hours become invoices Contractors log time in the timesheet app, approvals flow electronically, and billing and payroll run by scenario.

Frequently asked questions

Is JobDiva better than Workday?

For a staffing agency, JobDiva covers what the business runs on: candidates, client CRM, VMS job syncing, onboarding with E-Verify, timesheets, billing and payroll. Workday Recruiting covers none of the agency side. For an employer hiring its own staff, Workday is the fit, because hires flow into Workday HCM. They serve different businesses.

Does JobDiva integrate with Workday VNDLY?

JobDiva says it reliably collects and indexes data from all major vendor management systems, and Workday VNDLY is a VMS that Everest Group named a Leader in 2026, according to Workday. JobDiva's pages do not name VNDLY specifically, so confirm coverage with JobDiva for each client program.

Workday vs JobDiva pricing: how do they compare?

Neither vendor publishes a price. JobDiva's FAQ says pricing is customer specific and determined client by client, with unlimited support, training and free upgrades included. Workday sends recruiting buyers to Contact Sales and charges for AI agents through annual Flex Credits consumed per task.

Does JobDiva have a VMS of its own?

Its FAQ describes JobDiva as covering a VMS job spidering tool, time keeping and billing, and a VMS/MSP system, and DivaVMS appears in its site menu. Most of JobDiva's pages focus on syncing with clients' VMS platforms, so ask JobDiva which VMS role you would use it for.

Can a staffing agency use Workday?

An agency can use Workday HCM and payroll for its internal employees. For placing candidates with clients, Workday's recruiting pages describe no client CRM, VMS job import or contractor billing, which is why agencies run a staffing platform such as JobDiva or Bullhorn.

What AI does JobDiva have?

JobDiva's AI page says its R&D team uses large language models such as OpenAI and Google Gemini together with its own models, and lists resume summaries, email templates, chatbots and sentiment analysis as features it is rolling out. Its ATS page describes suggested matches and patented search.

Is JobDiva cloud based?

JobDiva's FAQ describes it as a platform as a service, offered as hosted at its data center or installed on-site, and answers a question about EEA and UK data hosting. JobDiva also offers a mobile app, a white-label applicant app and a contractor timesheet app.
