A placement business and an employer need different records
In JobDiva the candidate is inventory you place with a client. The record has to follow a contractor from a req that arrived through a client's vendor management system, through onboarding and E-Verify, to the timesheet and the invoice. JobDiva builds all of that itself, and its FAQ lists a careers portal, a VMS job spider and time keeping and billing as parts of one product.
In BambooHR the candidate becomes your colleague. Its ATS exists to fill your own openings and, the moment someone is hired, move their data into Employee Records with a new hire packet waiting. Nothing on its pages describes client billing, submittals or contractor margins, because that is not the business it serves.
Choose JobDiva if, choose BambooHR if
The right answer usually follows from one fact: whether the people you hire work for you or for your clients.
A 60 recruiter IT staffing firm takes most of its reqs from client VMS portals and pays contractors weekly.
JobDiva. VMS synchronization, timesheet collection, billing and payroll processes are native to one platform.
Ask for the VMS list you need in writing, since programs differ by client.
A 200 person software company fills 30 roles a year and already wants a single HR system for everyone.
BambooHR. The ATS comes with the HR plans, and hires flow straight into employee records and onboarding.
Each plan caps open jobs: 5 on Core, 25 on Pro and 50 on Elite.
A healthcare staffing agency must collect credentials and I-9 documents before a nurse starts a shift.
JobDiva. It has a healthcare offering and onboarding with encrypted documents, E-Verify and background check integrations.
Confirm which credential checks are native and which run through a partner.
A UK agency needs candidate data kept in the UK for its clients' compliance teams.
JobDiva. Its FAQ says UK and EEA data is stored and maintained in Oracle's UK cloud data centers.
BambooHR's pages read here do not state a UK hosting option, so ask directly.
One hire through each system, day to day
The same week of hiring looks different because the end of the process is different.
- JobDiva: the req syncs in A client posts a contract role in its VMS. JobDiva's sync brings the req in as it happens, and suggested matches appear from the harvested pool.
- JobDiva: search, submit, start The recruiter narrows with the patented search, submits the best people, then sends onboarding documents and runs E-Verify once a candidate is selected.
- JobDiva: time and billing The contractor enters hours in the MyTime app, approvals flow electronically, and DivaFinancials runs billing and payroll for the assignment.
- BambooHR: post and collect HR posts the opening to job boards and social networks. Applications land as candidate records with resumes, answers and ratings.
- BambooHR: interview and offer Candidates pick an interview slot from preset times, the team reviews together, and an offer letter goes out for electronic signature.
- BambooHR: day one On hire, the candidate's data moves into Employee Records and a new hire packet goes out with first day information and paperwork.
What VMS sync means, and why BambooHR does not need it
VMS synchronization A vendor management system is the portal a large client uses to send contract reqs to its approved agencies. Syncing pulls those reqs, plus timesheets, expenses and SOWs, into the agency's own system automatically.
JobDiva calls itself a pioneer of VMS synchronization and sells DivaVMS. An employer filling its own roles never receives reqs this way, which is why BambooHR's pages do not mention it.
JobDiva vs BambooHR pricing, by model
JobDiva's FAQ answers the question of how much it costs by saying pricing is customer specific and set client by client. It adds that unlimited support, training and upgrades are included. Its pricing URL returns a 404, so expect a quote after a demo or an RFP.
BambooHR prices the whole HR platform, not the ATS alone. Above 25 employees it charges per employee per month on its Core, Pro and Elite plans, with volume discounts; at 25 or fewer it charges a flat monthly rate. Payroll and benefits administration are add ons, and the number of open jobs rises with the plan.
Before you commit to either
Do
- Ask JobDiva to itemise ATS, back office and VMS modules in its proposal
- Count your open requisitions against BambooHR's job opening cap per plan
- List the client VMS portals you serve before any staffing demo
- Check which job boards each system posts to in your country
Do not
- Running a contract staffing desk on an employer ATS built for internal hires
- Buying a staffing platform when you only hire for your own company
- Comparing a quote with a per employee price without modelling headcount growth
An interview layer beside either ATS
An interview report with a 1 to 5 score per criterion, overall written feedback and the evidence behind it.
Neither JobDiva nor BambooHR describes a live AI interview. The Cognitive can sit beside either one: it searches ~900M public profiles with verified emails and phones, and runs a 10 or 20 minute live AI video interview with a transcript and recording. JobDiva and BambooHR each appear on its list of 60+ ATS integrations.

Frequently asked questions
Is JobDiva better than BambooHR?
Only for staffing work. JobDiva is built for agencies placing candidates with clients, with VMS sync, client CRM, timesheets and billing in one product. BambooHR is built for companies hiring their own staff, with an ATS that hands each hire to its HR records. Pick by the kind of business you run rather than by feature count.
JobDiva vs BambooHR pricing: how does each charge?
JobDiva's FAQ says its pricing is customer specific and set client by client, with support, training and upgrades included, and no price page is public. BambooHR publishes its model: per employee per month above 25 employees, a flat monthly rate at 25 or fewer, on Core, Pro and Elite plans, with payroll and benefits as add ons.
Can a staffing agency use BambooHR?
For its own internal staff, yes. For placing contractors with clients, BambooHR's pages describe none of the agency tools a staffing desk relies on, such as client submittals, VMS sync or contractor billing. Many agencies run a staffing ATS like JobDiva for placements and a separate HR system for their own employees.
Is JobDiva an HRIS?
Not in the sense BambooHR is. JobDiva covers recruiting, onboarding, timesheets, billing and payroll processes for placed contractors, and it integrates with payroll and general ledger systems. It does not describe employee performance reviews, time off or benefits tracking for an agency's own staff, which is BambooHR's core.
Does BambooHR have AI recruiting features?
Its pricing page lists an AI assistant that answers HR data questions and AI themes for employee survey responses. The ATS page read on 5 October 2026 describes job posting, automated emails, self scheduling, offer letters and reports, but no AI screening or matching. JobDiva lists resume summaries, chatbots and generative templates.
Can I connect JobDiva and BambooHR?
Neither site read here names a direct connector between the two. JobDiva offers an open API suite and BambooHR lists 150+ integrations, so a custom or partner integration is possible. The common pattern is simpler: JobDiva for placements, BambooHR for the agency's internal employees, with no data flowing between them.
Which has more integrations, JobDiva or BambooHR?
BambooHR states 150+ integrations, naming partners such as Checkr, Cronofy and Enboarder. JobDiva states 100+ built in integrations and an open API. The counts matter less than whether your job boards, background check vendor and payroll provider are on the list.
