Two very different ways to buy recruiting software
Zoho Recruit is built so a recruiter can buy it alone. The pricing page lists plans, you pick monthly or yearly billing, licences are per recruiter, and Zoho says there are no forced contracts and no credit card needed for the trial. A 3 person HR team or a 10 desk agency can be posting jobs to 75+ boards the same week.
Workday is bought by the company, usually alongside HR, payroll and finance. Pricing comes from a sales conversation, AI agents are paid for through a separate credit model, and Workday GO describes a guided setup to go live. That buys one platform for every employee record, which is worth more the larger the company is.
Choose Workday if, choose Zoho Recruit if
Do
- Workday already runs your HR and payroll, or you are buying it for that
- You hire at a scale where frontline text applications and bulk offers matter
- You want internal employees matched to openings from their skills
- Procurement prefers one enterprise vendor and a negotiated contract
Do not
- You want to start this week without a sales call
- You budget per recruiter rather than per employee or per contract
- You run a staffing agency and need client and candidate portals
- You already use other Zoho apps and want hiring to sit beside them

Zia against Workday's agents
