How Rippling pricing works and what it actually costs
Rippling pricing is quote-based, with no published rate card. Rippling states that most of its products are billed per employee per month, that some may carry a monthly base fee, and that every product is bought alongside the core, required Rippling Platform. One entry figure is published: $8 per month per user.
What Rippling pricing looks like in 2026
- Rippling quotes rather than lists. Its pricing page carries a product catalogue and a quote form.
- Most products are billed per employee per month, and Rippling says some may carry a monthly base fee.
- Every product is purchased alongside the core, required Rippling Platform.
- One figure is published by Rippling itself: starting at $8 per month per user, as of 20 September 2026.
- Module rates circulating in articles come from third-party estimators, not from Rippling.
How Rippling charges, in one line
How Rippling bills Per employee per month across products you buy separately, with the Platform sitting alongside whichever of them you take. Rippling adds that some products may be charged at or include a monthly basis fee.
So a Rippling cost per employee is the Platform line plus every module line, and only the entry figure is published. The number moves with how many modules you take, not with headcount alone.
The line every quote starts with
Rippling writes that each HR, Finance and IT product can be purchased separately, alongside the core, required Rippling Platform. So whatever module rate you are quoted, it is never the whole per-head number on its own.
Why there is no Rippling price list
Rippling's pricing page holds three things: its products grouped into 6 categories, a form that invites you to say what services you need so it can send a custom quote, and a short pricing FAQ. No figure appears anywhere on it. The UK property carries the same two sentences about the billing model and the required Platform, so this is Rippling's global framing rather than a US footnote.
One figure is published. Rippling's global payroll page carries a section headed starting at $8 per month per user, and the line beneath describes the whole platform: global HR, payroll, benefits, spend, devices and apps. Read it as Rippling's own entry figure for the platform, not a module rate. We saw no price on the homepage, the pricing page or the payroll page on 20 September 2026.
What each Rippling module is, and where it sits
| Module | Category | What it covers | Priced how |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform | Platform | Workflow Studio, analytics, policies, permissions, approvals, App Studio and the data layer under them. | Required alongside any product. The published entry figure is attached here. |
| HRIS | HCM | Employee data, onboarding, documents and e-signature, PTO balances, self-service, compliance alerts, reporting. | Quote. No figure published. |
| Payroll | Payroll | Tax calculation and filing with federal, state and local agencies, HR data flowing into pay runs, multi-currency. | Quote. No figure published. |
| Recruiting | HCM | Application review, interview assistant, scheduling, job board posting, referrals, knockout questions, texting. | Rippling states it uses a per-employee, per-month model. No figure published. |
| PEO | HCM | Co-employment services. Rippling states customers can move off PEO without replacing the underlying system. | Quote. No figure published for Rippling PEO pricing. |
| Employer of Record | Payroll and Global | Local employment agreements, work authorization, benefits enrollment, tax and compliance, local HR support. | Quote. No figure published for Rippling EOR pricing. |
| Global Payroll | Payroll and Global | Splits two ways: payroll via Rippling entities, or payroll via your own entities. | Quote. Which route you take changes the line. |
| Device Management | IT | Sits with Identity and Access and Inventory Management in the IT category. | Quote. No figure published for Rippling IT pricing. |
Rippling payroll pricing, PEO and EOR
The payroll page describes the work and not the price: automatic tax calculation and filing with federal, state and local agencies, salary changes and benefits deductions flowing into the pay run, pay run comparison, self-service pay stubs and tax forms, multi-currency and accounting integrations. Global payroll then splits two ways, through Rippling entities or through your own, and that choice decides which line lands on the quote.
PEO and EOR are both quote-only, with no figure on either product page. Rippling's own guide to PEO costs is the nearest published context, and it describes the industry rather than its own rate: a fixed monthly fee per employee, or a percentage of payroll plus applicable taxes, workers' compensation and employment practices liability insurance. That is background on how PEOs are priced, not a Rippling quote.
On the numbers you will find elsewhere
Most Rippling prices published online are third-party estimates, not Rippling figures. Software directories contradict each other on the entry price, on the currency it is shown in, and on whether a free version exists. Rippling's own page settles it.
How to work out your own Rippling cost
- Name the modules you actually need Work from Rippling's own 6 categories and write down the products by name. Platform, HCM, IT, Payroll, Finance and Global are the buckets they sit in. HRIS plus Payroll plus Recruiting is 3 named lines, not one HR system.
- Add the Platform as its own line Rippling states that products are purchased alongside the core, required Platform, so it belongs on your sheet before any module does. Three modules means 4 lines on the quote, not 3.
- Mark every module as an unknown, not a zero Only the platform entry figure is published. Carry each module as a blank to be filled in by the quote, so an unpriced line never quietly becomes a free one. A blank next to Payroll is honest. A zero is a forecast you invented.
- Decide your global route before you ask Global payroll through your own entities, global payroll through Rippling entities and employer of record are different products, and they produce different lines. Six people in 2 countries is a route question before it is a price question.
- Ask for a base fee answer in writing Rippling says some products may be charged at or include a monthly basis fee. Which of your chosen products those are is a question only the quote can answer. Ask per product, since the wording applies to some and not all.
What to make a Rippling quote itemise
- The Platform line, stated separately from every module line
- Each module you take, named, with its own per-employee rate
- Which products carry a monthly base fee as well as a per-employee rate
- The per-employee rate at your headcount, and what happens as it grows
- Whether global headcount is priced through your entities or Rippling entities
- Any implementation or onboarding charge, since Rippling publishes none
- Contract length and renewal terms in writing, since Rippling publishes none
- Any Rippling discount on offer, in writing, since no discount rate is published
Reading a Rippling quote without guessing
Do
- Budget the Platform as its own line, because it is required alongside whatever you buy
- Treat every unpriced module as a blank for the quote to fill, never as an omission
- Date any figure you carry into a spreadsheet, and note which page it came from
- Price the global route you will actually use, rather than the cheapest one on the list
Do not
- Treating a directory entry price as the rate you will be charged
- Assuming a published module price exists somewhere, because Rippling prints none
- Multiplying one figure by your headcount to produce a monthly bill
- Assuming a discount or renewal escalator you read online applies to your contract
The published figure tells you where Rippling starts. The required Platform line tells you why your quote will not stop there.
When the gap is candidates, not modules
Rippling Recruiting is built around people who apply: application review, an interview assistant, scheduling, job board posting, referrals with bonus tracking, knockout questions and candidate texting. It handles the flow once it exists. If your open roles outnumber your applications, another module line will not close that gap, because outbound sourcing is a different job.
The Cognitive works that other side. You write one line about the hire, it searches for people who did not apply, ranks what it finds, keeps identities masked until you reveal a contact, and keeps everyone it found in that role's pool.
One line about the hire, then a ranked shortlist
The composer, the Sourcing Scout reading the brief, and the refine chips that run the search again.
The brief is parsed into structured filters. Remy judges every candidate against your bar, and strong results carry a Strong match label in rank order. When the pool is thin the search loosens its softest filters itself and tells you what it broadened. Start free at https://app.thecognitive.io/signup.
What a sourcing line adds to an HR stack
- Finds people who did not apply to anything you posted
- Requirements set as Must have, Prioritise or Preferred on each filter
- Only must-haves act as hard gates, so the rest rank rather than exclude
- Identities stay masked until you choose to reveal a contact
- Verified email and phone reveal is charged only on success
- Everyone found stays in that role's pool and is excluded from later searches
- Imports from and writes back to Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby
- More than 40 ATS integrations, with stage, score and notes pushed back
Filters that separate the person from their employer
One brief becomes structured filters in 2 groups: about the person, and about their current employer.
A skill the person knows is kept apart from a tool their employer happens to run, which is the usual cause of a bad shortlist. Filters you set by hand stay as you set them, and the rest are filled in from your prompt.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Rippling cost?
Rippling publishes no rate card. Its pricing page presents a product catalogue and a quote form, and states that most products are billed per employee per month while some may carry a monthly base fee. The one figure Rippling publishes is an entry-level platform figure of $8 per month per user, seen on its global payroll page on 20 September 2026. That is not a module rate, and the cost of Rippling also includes the required Platform line plus every module you buy. Check rippling.com/pricing.
How much is Rippling per employee per month?
Rippling states that most of its products are billed on a per-employee, per-month basis, and that each product is purchased alongside the core, required Rippling Platform. So your Rippling cost per employee is the Platform plus each module you take, added together. No per-module rate is published anywhere on rippling.com, which means the only accurate per-head number is the one in your own quote.
Why doesn't Rippling publish its prices?
Rippling does not say why. What its pricing page contains is a catalogue of products grouped into 6 categories, a form asking which services you need so it can send a custom quote, and a short pricing FAQ, with the same wording on its UK property. Because products are bought individually alongside the Platform, no single figure would describe a bill. That is also why Rippling prices published elsewhere vary so widely.
How much does Rippling payroll cost?
Rippling publishes no figure for Payroll. Its payroll page describes the scope instead: tax calculation and filing with federal, state and local agencies, HR changes flowing into the pay run, pay run comparison and multi-currency support. Global payroll runs either through your own entities or through Rippling entities, and that choice changes the line. Any Rippling payroll pricing 2026 figure you find is somebody else's estimate, so ask for payroll as its own line on the quote.
How much does Rippling PEO cost?
Rippling publishes no figure for PEO. Its own guide to PEO costs describes the industry rather than its own rate, naming 2 structures: a fixed monthly fee per employee, or a percentage of payroll plus applicable taxes, workers' compensation and employment practices liability insurance. That same guide puts the general industry range at $500 to $1,500 per employee per year, or 2 to 12 percent of wages. Rippling also states that its PEO customers can move off PEO without replacing the underlying system.
How much does Rippling EOR cost?
Rippling publishes no figure for employer of record. Its EOR page sets out the scope: local employment agreements, work authorization, benefits enrollment, software provisioning, payroll that Rippling describes as 5 days to payday in popular markets and 12 days in less common ones, tax and compliance, and local HR and legal support. It also publishes no country count. Rippling EOR pricing only exists inside a quote, and it is a separate line from global payroll run through your own entities.
What is included in Rippling's HR pricing?
The HCM category covers HRIS, HR Services, Recruiting, Headcount Planning, Performance, Surveys, Learning Management, Benefits Administration, PEO, Time and Attendance, Scheduling and Chat. Each is bought separately, alongside the required Platform, so Rippling HR pricing is a set of lines rather than one plan. HRIS itself covers employee data, onboarding, documents and e-signature, PTO balances, self-service and compliance alerts across all 50 states and 180+ countries.
How much does Rippling IT cost?
Rippling publishes no figure for its IT products. The IT category contains Identity and Access, Device Management and Inventory Management, and each is purchased separately alongside the required Platform, exactly like the HR modules. Rippling IT pricing is the reason a Rippling bill is often compared against tools outside HR entirely, so decide which IT products you actually want before the quote, and ask for each one as its own line.
Does Rippling offer a free trial, a free plan or discounts?
Rippling's pricing page shows a quote request rather than a free tier or a trial signup, and we found no free plan on rippling.com on 20 September 2026. Third-party directories disagree with each other here, with sister sites flagging opposite answers on the same product. Rippling's FAQ does say it offers partner pricing for brokers and accountants, but publishes no rate or terms, so any Rippling discount figure quoted online is unverified. No published Rippling pricing plans exist to compare.
